  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 Lb. shrimp or scallops
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 tbs. lemon juice and 1 tbs. lemon juice (Separate)
  • Cayenne to taste (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste (optional)

[edit] Let's Get Going!

  1. Preheat pan to medium.
  2. After pan is heated, add shrimp and/or scallops. Immediately add the bay leaf, cloves, cardamom and chili powder.
  3. Remove the bay leaf as you flip your shrimps/scallops.
  4. For scallops: Once sautéed to lightly brown on both sides, add 3/4 cup water and 3 tbs. lemon juice. For shrimp: Once the shrimp are partially cooked through on both sides add 3/4 cup water and 3 tbs. lemon juice. Now is the time to add cayenne and salt and pepper.
  5. When shrimp/scallops are cooked all the way through, add 1 tbs. lemon juice and remove them. The lemon juice will help stop them from cooking.
  6. Let the sauce condense until there there is just enough for everyone. Use sparingly, it gets strong once condensed enough.
