- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 Lb. shrimp or scallops
- 3/4 cup water
- 3 tbs. lemon juice and 1 tbs. lemon juice (Separate)
- Cayenne to taste (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste (optional)
[edit] Let's Get Going!
- Preheat pan to medium.
- After pan is heated, add shrimp and/or scallops. Immediately add the bay leaf, cloves, cardamom and chili powder.
- Remove the bay leaf as you flip your shrimps/scallops.
- For scallops: Once sautéed to lightly brown on both sides, add 3/4 cup water and 3 tbs. lemon juice. For shrimp: Once the shrimp are partially cooked through on both sides add 3/4 cup water and 3 tbs. lemon juice. Now is the time to add cayenne and salt and pepper.
- When shrimp/scallops are cooked all the way through, add 1 tbs. lemon juice and remove them. The lemon juice will help stop them from cooking.
- Let the sauce condense until there there is just enough for everyone. Use sparingly, it gets strong once condensed enough.
