Dough
  • 3 cup Flour
  • 3 rounded tsp Yeast
  • 1 tbsp Garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasonings
  • 1.5 cup Water
Toppings
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Garlic salt
  • 1 bag Mozzarella cheese
  • Pasta/pizza sauce
  • Toppings (pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, olives, etc)
Other
  • Shortening
  • Corn meal

  • Pizza/cookie sheet
  • Large bowl
  • Cutting board
  • Pizza cutter
  • Clean rag
  • Tray (pie pan)

Dough
  1. Whisk all dry ingredients together in a large bowl
  2. Add water and mix into a ball with a stiff fork
  3. Cover large cutting board with flour and kneed dough for about 5 minutes
  4. Place ball of dough in a large greased bowl
  5. Spread shortening/oil on top of dough
  6. Wring out a wet rag and place it on top of the bowl of dough but not touching the dough itself
  7. Place bowl in oven with a tray of hot water underneath
  8. Let rise for 1.5 hours
Prepare pizza
  1. Preheat oven to 400 deg
  2. Heavily grease baking sheet
  3. Sprinkle corn meal over baking sheet
  4. Spread dough over baking sheet
  5. Melt butter in microwave
  6. Add garlic salt to butter until tasty
  7. Spread garlic butter over edges of dough
  8. Spread sauce, cheese and toppings on dough
Bake
  1. Place pizza on middle rack
  2. Turn oven to 450 to keep elements hot and make crust crispy
  3. Bake for 10-12 min keeping a close eye on it
