Split pea soup is tasty.
[edit] Ingredients
- 3 cups of water
- 1 cup of dried split peas, rinsed
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 potato, cubed
- 2 stalks of celery, chopped
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2-3 carrots, chopped
- 1/2 pound turkey sausage, sliced
- 3/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper
[edit] Procedure
- Combine all ingredients in rice cooker/slow cooker.
- Cook on slow cook mode for at least an hour and a half.
This keeps well in the fridge for a few days in sealed containers. But that won't be a problem, it will all have been eaten by then.
