- Dry Rub
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Chili powder
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 2 tsp Black pepper
- 2 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- Meat
- 2-3 lbs Beef or pork ribs
- Optional
- Barbecue sauce

- Medium bowl
- Cutting board
- Knife
- Grilling tongs
- Grill
[edit] Procedure
- Dry Rub
- Combine dry rub ingredients in bowl
- Cut ribs into sections -- Cutting between each bone will make them easier to eat, but may increase the likelihood of burning
- Generously apply to ribs
- Grill
- Place ribs on a hot grill (a smoker may be substituted if available), starting with bone side down
- Turn occasionally
- Grill to taste
- During the last five minutes of grilling, baste with barbecue sauce (if desired)
